Who we are
Cheshire Disability Services Kenya (CDSK) is a disability inclusion focused organization and a global alliance member of Leonard Cheshire Disability. It is also a Strategic Partner Organization (SPO) of Liliane Fonds (Netherlands) in Kenya. CDSK partners with a network of 40 Local Partner Organizations (POs) to implement programmes in Community Based Rehabilitation & Care, Inclusive Lifelong Education, Socio-economic Empowerment, Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights’ and Institutional Development.
CDSK has been in operation in Kenya since 1993 and registered in the National NGOs Board in 2011, with a focus on improving life prospects of persons with disabilities .CDSK works directly benefits children and youth with disabilities through its established network of 40 partner organizations based in 33 counties in Kenya.
Through a strong network of dedicated and passionate partners, supporters, alliances, organizations of persons with disabilities, Government line ministries including the Ministry of Education, Health and Social Protection as well as National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) and County governments. Through the generous support of our donors, in the past, presently, and beyond, CDSK continues to champion for a disability-inclusive society where children and youth with disabilities are respected and empowered to develop to their full potential and lead a quality and dignified life.
