Supporting Inclusive Education
Similarly, CDSK has continued to support inclusive education since its inception. This thematic area seeks to contribute to improved access, retention and transition for CYwDs. The support in this area enabled a total of 1,097 CYwDs to access, be retained or transit to other levels of education in 2016. Similarly, with funding from DFID, CDSK in partnership with LC successfully implemented a Girl Education Challenge Project between 2014 and 2016 in Lake Region, enabling 2,500 girls with disabilities complete their education, prepare for their journey to adulthood and live independently in disability positive communities/ households.
