George Shimanyula

Project Officer

George is a graduate of Daystar University and holds a BA Degree in Community Development and a minor in Peace and Reconciliation. He worked in Rwanda for 5 years towards economic empowerment of women living with HIV/AIDS and who were survivors of the genocide.

George is an Alumni of the African Leadership Institute for Community Transformation (ALICT), Cape Town, SA that took place in 2012. In 2013, he was selected to be an Ambassador as part of the World of Difference Programme, an initiative of Safaricom Foundation, to offer support in capacity building and fundraising to Cheshire Services at that time.

Since 2015 George has Project Officer implementing the Child Empowerment Programme, EmployAble Project and now the Social Innovation Lab Project. George is driven with passion and commitment towards seeing that individuals and willing-members of the community move from the undesirable state to that which is desirable.
